Do you have a graduating student in your family?
The Okanagan Science Centre is offering the Marg Sim Memorial Scholarship of $300 to a 2013 North Okanagan graduate, who is a current OSC member, and is entering post secondary education in a science or education related field.

Marg Sim, along with her husband Bill, founded the Okanagan Science Centre in 1985, and the scholarship fund was created in Marg's memory. The scholarship has been increased to $300 thanks to a generous donation from the Pythian Sisters. The Knights of Pythias and the Pythian Sisters were instrumental in creating many of the original OSC displays and were active in fundraising in the early days of the science centre. The Sisters wish to honor Marg's memory with their donation.

Interested students should submit a 500 word essay on one of the following topics and submit it to info@okscience.ca by Thursday, May 31, 2013.
  • What do you love about science and why?
  • Explain one way you use science in your everyday life.
Please include your name, email, phone, school, and plans for post-secondary education.
