Volunteer Opportunities

We Love Our Volunteers!

We know that we could not do everything we do to promote science in the Okanagan without the help of our tireless and dedicated volunteers!  Our volunteers help out with everything from building maintenance, critter care, helping with programs and camps, driving us to outreach bookings, and much more!

Guess what?  We can always use more help.  Here are the details.  To be a volunteer with the OSC you must:

  • care about science and sharing it with others
  • be at least 14 years old and in grade 9
  • fill out a volunteer application
  • attend a volunteer interview and orientation
  • provide the OSC with a current criminal record check

If any of these opportunities interest you, please contact Irene, our Volunteer Coordinator, at 250-545-3644 or i.mckechnie@okscience.ca

Please be aware that the Okanagan Science Centre has a volunteer application process and that you must be at least in the ninth grade and 14 years old or older. Successful completion of a vulnerable sector criminal records check is a requirement of volunteering at the Okanagan Science Centre.
